1. Ivy what makes your skincare products different and how long have you been producing them?
I have been producing Ivy’s Skin Luv Products for People and their Pets since 1998. I’m all about being as natural and organic as possible with choices i make every day, and the products i choose to use.
Along with keeping our skin as youthful as possible in mind, My products are designed to calm over-worked and stressed out skin by in office treatments and procedures, stressed out skin from daily sun exposure, and all that can happen to our skin on a daily basis.
I feel that what goes into our bodies, and on our skin matters. My product line was originally approved by Whole Foods Markets, the industry standard for the most premium natural and organic products out in the market. I worked with their Locals program getting on their shelves. It is very important to me to create the most calming and rejuvenating product possible along with the top premium industry standards to date.
> After working alongside top Dermatologists, Cosmetic Surgeons, and their Nurses, I became very aware of how harsh certain treatments and our environment can be on our daily skin. a lot of treatments and products tend to strip the skin of natural resources and some may take a while to heal up in time for an event or shoot.
I wanted to create a line of products with the best possible ingredients to help soothe and heal the skin quickly, that wakes the senses and is simple and easy to use. One that calms and nourishes whatever stage your skin is in.
2. You have been called "the best kept secret in Hollywood" for many years why is that?
I worked as the one of the first Paramedical Estheticians for a top Beverly Hills Dermatology group who catered to a very large group of High Profile Celebrities. I have had the pleasure to treat some very well-known faces and bodies in the business. I hope to be as discreet as possible for my discerning clientele, whether high-profile or not as most would like to keep it a secret how they keep looking so youthful without having surgery, and at times, for those who do choose surgery to enhance their look.
For those who choose to have surgery to enhance their beauty at any age, I have worked with those pre and post-op to help speed up the healing process and to help maintain the new look and feel of the skin and all, after the surgery.
3. I understand treating acne is a specialty of yours and you do it in a very non invasive way, please tell us more about that.
I absolutely love working with Adults and teens with acne issues. I had many skin flare ups and issues as a teen and in to my adult years. i finally got a handle on what goes in my system comes out of my pores and shows up on my skin. i love sharing my knowledge in the area, and treating the skin with the many wonderful treatments and equipment now at our fingertips.
4. What types of services are you most excited about doing now?
I am always excited getting some new skin to work on, as each person has individuals needs and concerns. I want to use whatever equipment and treatment plan and product to help achieve those results for my client. working with a teen with acne, to a celeb getting ready for a red carpet event, I love it all.
Nothing thrills me more than seeing someone coming in with stressed out skin with some issues, and helping each individual get where they want to be with their skin. Helping others look and feel their best thrills me to no end.
