"You know actress, “CSI Miami” star, Sofia Milos from the many television roles she’s done, but this lady is already rocking the big screen in 2018!"

1. Sofia you recently did a movie, please tell us a bit about it.

I recently completed working on a film noir called FAKE NEWS, in which I star with Eric Roberts, Marty Kove and John Savage as detective Jennifer Stern. This character is in a perennial conflict with her unconventional older half brother Max, a controversial reporter who's father and her first mentor is in the police force until he raped her. Also co starring are John Barrymore, Tori Higginson and Jesse Kove. FAKE NEWS was written and produced by Sam Morris and shot in the Los Angeles area. The movie might come out this year sometime. I also worked on SANGRE NUEVA, starring Eric Estrada, a new drama series I agreed to join, as Mafia Boss Christina Sabatini for its innovative approach in making things happen in this ever so changing industry of ours, and for this diverse group of artists collaborating . SANGRE NUEVA is to be shown on Amazon Prime . A great new Platform which allows more artists the chance to get their series on the air with less road blocks, much less bureaucracy and budget involved. “Alonso” is an Italian comedy I filmed while in Rome, called ODISSEA NELL' OSPIZIO featuring four well known now senior famous Italian comedians, in which I play the stars ( Jerry Cala') ex wife and it should be out anytime this year as well. Probably a fun summer movie to catch.

Devin: You are always so busy and this all sounds super exciting. I worked with Erik Estrada on a movie back in the 90s, such a great guy.

"Liesbeth Is A Rising Star"

1. Liesbeth you grew up in a small town in Belgium, but it seems you have big dreams of a singing career, tell us how you became a singer?

When I was seven years old, I saw the musical ‘Snow White'. I went with my parents and my sister. After seeing the musical, I lived in the fairytale for weeks. I dreamed of being the actress who played Snow White and I was singing and acting all the time. I dreamed to be on the big stages, but... I was a very realistic child. I knew it was hard to get there. And that you had to be very talented. So I became very sad and shy and I stopped singing. Just for my pets, which I can imagine, was very funny and cute. Until my 14'th birthday, I saw more musicals and became a huge fan of the Broadway musicals too (Chicago, Beauty and the Beast, Les Mis,...). So the dreaming never really stopped. I went to a music school and learned to play the flute. There were musicians in the family for a long time, so my mother send me to the school. I got older and discovered some other music. My father loves music, in particular, Blues and Jazz and some Rock. I did not like the hard and rough stuff, but I got the chance to listen to some different music than musicals. As a teenager I listened to Dolly Parton, Ella Fitzgerald, Billy Holliday, Elvis Presley, Patrica Kaas, Lara Fabian... Which was extraordinary for someone of my age. And when my parents discovered my passion for music and singers, they took me to concerts. They saw how I enjoyed to be in a theatre, looking at my idols. And so the dream grew bigger.
On my 14’th birthday, I got the chance to sing at school. I wanted to try it. I wanted to know what people thought of my voice. So I sang at school with a friend on a Valentines party. My first number for an audience was ‘Hero’ from Mariah Carey. My parents came to the party and heard me singing for the first time. They were so surprised. They were so amazed. My father was so proud of me. They suggested I should go and take some lessons. So from then on, I did. I got some confidence and took some classes at the school were I already played the flute.
But... The only class that was able to join at that moment, was some classical singing. I was very unhappy there and had to sing songs that were too high. My voice wasn’t able to do classical singing. And after two years, I stopped singing. The dream of being on a stage as a singer, never disappeared. So when I decided of trying to go to the conservatory, my parents were taken by surprise. I’ve been looking for a new singing teacher on the internet. And so I’d found one. I took some Jazz and Musical lessons and I felt progress.. I did my entrance examination. And on my 17’th, I got in. I was going to study Musical. And so the dream got real.

"Maria Elena is making beautiful music all over the world ."

1. Maria you have an Italian/Bulgarian heritage in a tiny little body with a very big voice. Tell us how you grew up with such a gift and your love for music.

I was born on Lake Como, and grew up in Rome from the age of 5, before that we had lived in Vienna, Milan, Bulgaria and Canary Islands, as both my parents were Opera singers and we moved like gypsies depending on their contracts . My mum is the soprano Raina Nikolova Infantino , and my dad was the world renowned Tenor, Luigi Infantino.
Music was just the air we breathed at home , as it was always full of artists from around the world staying with us for a week or for a month, playing violin, clarinet , piano and more ... rehearsals were mainly at home, which lead for me to know all of my mum's repertoire by heart by the age of 5! I would even start to give her notes when she would make a mistake here and there during the process . But I must admit I have always preferred singing the male roles from the operas as a child , as it was more fun for me to show how I could reach the lowest notes!
Also we always had dinners with people speaking over 5 languages at the same time , and understanding each other perfectly !
So in my childhood there was a lot of international people and traveling involved... and THAT was normal for me.
I thought that every kid in the world was hanging out at the Opera house , and I was shocked to find out that going to the Opera for some people is like a major event in their lives! So as you can imagine , singing was always in the air ! It was normal to sing ! Maybe that's why I never fully understood my gift and maybe even took it for granted for a while , until I went to drama school in London, to study acting ( ALRA) ,where we had 4 hrs a week on Musicals and the teacher would always use me as an example for exercises in front of the class and was thrilled to give me the hardest songs , as for him I was a wunderkind I presume . That's when I understood that not everybody can sing, and that I was somewhat out of the ordinary .
After my training as an actress in London , my debut was as a singer !!! At the Royal Albert Hall , in front of 5.250 people , singing my version of "Do you want to know a secret" for the Beatles 50th Anniversary , starring Dame Shirley Bassey! I then moved to LA with my one woman show on French icon Edith Piaf , acting and singing . Such is life!

"Louann Fernald is a very dynamic lady that shares a special bond with beloved Dorothy Stratten."

1. Louann you were one of the first Hispanic Playmates in the 1970s, how did that change your life?

Being a Playmate changed my life, but being Hispanic didn't have much to do with that. My mom raised me as many minority parents did back then, away from her culture and family, immersed in mainstream American culture. She didn't teach me Spanish, but I took 2 years of Spanish in high school, which didn't quite make up for it.

I used Playboy to finish paying my way through college because my parents, being very strict, (Hispanics typically are), imposed strict rules and curfews on me until--at 19-- I rebelled and emancipated myself.

What was the question again, Devin? Oh yes, lol. How did Playboy change my life?

It picked me up and put me into a jet stream of travel, opportunities, new faces, and adventures which, when I landed back on the ground again 2 years later, left me with a permanently wider perspective than I think I might have had if I hadn't done Playboy.

"Charlotte Kemp is a classic Playboy Playmate from the 1980s and she's been writing a book of centerfold stories for many years to share with us. A couple of my own stories are included and Char as we call her, gives us some insight on it!"

1. Charlotte I understand you have been writing this memoir for quite a while. What inspired you to do this book?

It is not so much of a memoir as it is stories from Icons, photographers, and models.  I wanted some kind of representation of our lives that have never been brought to the media.  I knew 20 years ago when I started this book that we as women had very poignant, tragic, interesting stories to tell that the PR firm would never tell. The book will engage readers to have a glimpse into our real lives and not just what everyone thinks we are?

"Katharine McEwan has a relationship being in front and behind the camera, see why this actress gives it her all in her latest film."

1. Katharine you wrote and produced the film "Solitary" which is getting quite a buzz at the film festivals. What inspired you to write this particular movie?

I wanted to look at what happens when a family chooses an illusion of functionality over the truth, and who gets sacrificed in that equation. I feel that tragic events will probably always happen in families, but if we could handle them differently, both individually and as a society, fewer lives might be destroyed as a result. Stories about family secrets, and the impact those secrets have on us, resonate strongly with me.

2. The character Nora spirals out of control due to her drinking and ends up in a very dark place revealing some pretty heavy secrets. How did you prepare for such a role?

I felt Nora's drinking was a symptom of something much deeper, and it was from that place that I started. I had to connect to her sense of isolation, and identify all the ways in which she learned to cope with that isolation.

"Patrice Cole has a truly magical gift for reading people."

Patrice when did you discover you had a sixth sense for reading people?

When I was growing up,  I loved helping others.  I was extremely sensitive, intuitive and empathetic- so much so, it felt almost overpowering at times.  I tried to squelch these feelings as much as possible.  After High School, I embarked on a modeling/acting career and soon realized that my sensitivity was a gift, not a burden.  I was able to tap into a character off a page and truly feel 'her' emotions.  This insight encouraged me to keep developing and fine tuning my intuitive abilities. I also found myself fascinated and intrigued with the Esoteric Sciences, especially Numerology and Astrology, which I studied intently.  On movie and TV sets,  I started doing readings and charts for fellow actors, who later referred family members and friends.  I have spent many years merging my performance skills with my Spirituality.

Cindy Cowan is a successful producer who has her life in balance with a wonderful inspirational relationship to boot.

Cindy you are the epitome of balance and I love what you have been doing to empower women. As a producer, are you working on anything that we as women should see?
The thing I strive for the most in my business world is balance. Once before, I had a film company that was very successful, we garnered almost every award from Emmy's, to Golden Globes to Oscars..but I lost myself in the process. I worked tirelessly for 5 years without a single vacation, and started to believe my own self importance..If I didn't do it, it wouldn't get done. My Boyfriend at the time came second to my company. The result was that I was very successful, but not very happy. Years later, I retired to become more of a girl again., I just wanted to get back in touch with my feminine side. When I came out of retirement 3 years ago...it became mandatory, that this go round, my personal life would be first and my business life second. I still work very hard, but weekend are my own and there has to be a time at night when I cut off...also, I learned how delegate, which is important.

I am working right now on a variety of things that range from 2 Biographical movies that will hopefully be nominated next year for awards, a very female empowering Thriller, and even a reality show. We are also about to get into scripted TV...everything I do portrays girls in a positive light.

Sometimes life changes move us in a direction we can't understand, but trusting our instincts and going with the change can be a blessing.

For as long as I can remember I have always loved the sea. There is something about the sound of waves that just lifts my spirits. I have always lived close to a body of water, whether it be the Bay, a lake or the ocean. I needed to be near water, to know it was close by. For the last decade I have called California home, but most of it was spent in Sausalito, on Richardson Bay that connects to San Francisco Bay. As often as I could, I would find my way down to the water to recharge my batteries whenever needed. It always seemed to work.

In October, 2013 I made my way down to Southern California to Santa Monica for what I had thought would simply be a ten day escape to the ocean. Little did I know how that trip would change the course of my life forever? I would return to the Bay and announce that I was leaving the one place I thought I would remain for the rest of my days, and it came as a shock to many, and to me as well. I can’t really explain the decision to move, only to say it was my soul’s calling. I didn’t understand it but I knew it was something I needed to do. After announcing the move, I would make the trek back to Santa Monica just three weeks later to start a new chapter in my life.

I’m going to guide you through the crucial courting dates and tell you how to become The BBD.  If date number two is indeed on the horizon, this is what you need to do if you want to ride off into the sunset with your lady and live happily ever after... or at least take one step closer to getting her panties off.

KiraReed06She said yes to a date with you! Holy *!?@ Now what?

This is the moment you’ve been waiting for.  You ask out your Dream Girl and she says yes. So you have to be prepared for it. If your reaction to her saying “yes” to your invitation to go out is “Uh, OK, great. Cool. Let’s hang out sometime” – IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN.

You must actually make a date with her that involves a specific plan of action. It’s called a date because it’s a specific date on the calendar. A date is not a vague, distant future occurrence at an unknown time. A date is not at that moment or later that same evening, either. “What are you doing later?” is not Dream Girl-worthy. A woman wants to feel like she’s worth waiting for and you don’t want to come off desperate. Plus, you need time to plan what a Hot Chick will think is A Great Night Out.

GloriaKisel-HollisGloria Kisel-Hollis is a socialite with a sense of humor, find out why with her new movie release starring my hubby.

Gloria you just completed a comedy starring my hubby, tell everyone how this came to be?
The Brentwood Connection came about because of my own personal life experience
I wanted to express my feelings toward women that have gone through divorce after being married to very wealthy billionaires and felt hopeless . By doing this film I felt completed and I show that women no matter how old we are we could always conquer the world by working hard and getting back what we lost by making the wrong choices.

How did you come to develop this project?
I wrote a small synopsis with my partner and I started asking all my good friends that have great credits on film to be a part of this great project. My dream started getting together and it was a matter of weeks to shoot.

Victoria you are the only pop artist that has the license to paint the famous bunny in addition to being a bunny and Playmate yourself. Tell us how this impacts the 60th anniversary for Playboy?
I actually had the license for 11 years until Playboy went Private 2 years back. All the licensing changed. But going forward the 60th is a huge marker for Hef and the magazine. Proof of longevity and staying relevant in a world where things come and go so fast.
The brand is more then rabbit ears it's a mind set a way of life and a fantasy all in one.

You are also a wife and mother, how do you balance a career and the details of motherhood?
I find working and being a mother very difficult. First, because I love love being a mother. But I also love my work. I love being creative. I am not sure if I balance it all the way. Something always suffers a little.

Recently, I have had many girlfriends that have divorced from long- term marriages. It’s been very hard on them emotionally, financially and a real adjustment. One girlfriend was married to the first guy she’d ever slept with and had two children with him. She made a wonderful home for him for over 20 plus years and then he left her for a younger woman.

She’s never worked other than being a homemaker and doesn’t know the first thing about dating because he was her whole life and now she’s in her mid forties. Does this sound like someone you may know?

MicheleKananMichele Kanan is married to actor Sean Kanan and together they have quite the unconventional family unit. Get to know Michele a bit better and find out how this mother of five balances it all.

Michelle, you and Sean are like a modern day Brady bunch with 5 kids between the both of you, how do you handle it all?
With a great sense of humor!! Sean and I have a very strong relationship that is based on "rules" that we both agree on. Our rules are:

  1. Stay connected. It sounds silly, but it is actually the most challenging and time consuming. We structure our conversations like investigative television, first we get the facts out, next we get the feelings heard and addressed, finally we discuss solutions/follow up. That way the emotional chaos doesn't rule and balance can be rapidly restored. It is extremely effective with our 5 teenagers and their hormone fueled roller coaster lives too.
  2. Communication is key, but is useless unless it's understood BY BOTH PARTIES. Sean and I frequently check in with each other to make sure that we are on the same page and if not, we get there.
  3. Make a decision. Sean and I will discuss, hear each other out and then, whether we agree or not, make a final decision to take action. Lingering problems create extra stress and it's better to be overruled than to have no decision made. Most of the time the decision ends up working and we forget why we disagreed in the first place.
  4. Don't buy into stories. We all have experiences that have colored who we are as people. It's difficult to keep past experiences from influencing current ones, but it is essential to harmony.

You have been a performer your entire life it seems Bobbie. Is music your true passion?
Music has played such an enormous role in my life and it is truly a passion of mine. Even when my career had taken the turn where I was working full time on television, I never turned my back on my music and it helped me enjoy my “day job” even more because I felt more fulfilled in general.

We have loved you for years on "All My Children and "The Bold and The Beautiful" Do you have plans to continue acting?
Yes! I want to be like Betty White and work for as long as I’m able. Whether it’s TV, film or live theater, I plan to keep acting even while spending more time performing as a singer. In our changing industry, that means I may have to create those projects for myself and I look forward to meeting that challenge.

When I asked by grandfather the secret to how he met my grandmother, he said: “That’s easy. I go where she goes.” When he saw my pretty little grandma-to-be on his first day of high school, my grandpa-to-be wasted no time. He immediately enrolled in all her classes, including home economics, in which he was the only boy and had absolutely no interest in – except for the girl. He joined the choir because she sang in it. He ran for student counsel because she was secretary. His plan seems to have worked as they got married, had babies and lived happily ever after for over 65 years.

Loretta Lynn sang this song and it became a hit for a good
reason. Most of us can relate to the fact that there are women out there that will manipulate even a friendship to try and take what you have. Why? I'm not sure? It's never been on my radar to do such a thing. However, I know it exists and know other women that this has happened to. You can't always blame the devious nature of some women out there on everything that goes wrong with your man, but you can be cautious.

I told her secrets that she took and twisted into lies and told to strangers. Why would she do such a thing I pondered?

I find laughter to be very healing and want to experience that as much as possible in life. Why would you want to be miserable, unhappy or sad? What does that do to your overall well being.

1. Alison you have had a successful marriage to a much younger man, what the secret to your success there?
I have always looked younger than my age. Guess being small helps. Men my age are not as active as I am so I tend to like to hang out with someone who is younger. Younger men have always come after me. The one before Joel was 20 years younger. Joel is 12 years younger and it works so well. It's always good with us. We both like to dance and have a good time.
