Keri, you have an interesting approach to balancing your mind, body and soul regarding food. Tell us what inspired that concept and how effective is it in helping with weight loss?
Keri NolaThank you so much, Devin. In my experience, as a culture, our approach to wellness has often been narrow and limited and my own struggles and frustrations led me to get curious about the missing pieces to living a life I love in a body I love living in. Through the years, I witnessed myself and others be able to make progress with wellness goals in the short term while struggling to maintain them on a consistent basis and this motivated me to dig deeper to discover the missing piece of the puzzle. I ultimately discovered that we are more than our physical bodies and therefore heaviness in our bodies and lives is simply a manifestation of unexplored feelings, experiences, and information asking for our attention. Our Go Deeper, Get Lighter programs address wellness from the inside out as we support people in exploring the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of getting lighter by going deeper into issues of the mind, body, and soul often left out in traditional diet and exercise programs. Using a combination of powerful healing techniques blended with practical tools to easily implement unique nutrition and exercise solutions that work, Go Deeper, Get Lighter is a dynamic personal transformation program.

Keri Nola-2Your weekly radio show, "Go Deeper, Get Lighter" is coaching for the mind, body and soul. I'm a firm believer of keeping life in balance, what can listeners expect to get from your coaching?
We're all about balance on Go Deeper, Get Lighter Radio, Devin! Me and my partner, personal trainer and holistic health coach, Lloyd Burnett use our personal and professional experience to share compassionate, creative solutions to help people learn the unique language of their own body so they can live lives they love in bodies they love living in. Listening to the show, people can expect direct, down-to-earth, light-hearted, inspiring, and relateable conversation and coaching about issues of the mind, body, and soul that are at the heart of living authentic, full and satisfying lives. The show airs every Tuesday night at 9pmEST on Blog Talk Radio at www.blogtalkradio.com/godeeper

You're a Holistic Psychotherapist and your partner, Lloyd is a personal trainer. What an interesting combo, what's your inspiration for your commitment and drive in this unique field?
I believe that it is each of our divine birth rights to have access to information that empower us to step into the fullness of who we are and live the lives we deserve and desire. It is this belief that inspires me to do the work I do and share my own discoveries with others so they, too, can reconnect with their highest selves and experience the infinite joy, peace, love, health, and abundance that are their right to have. I see myself as a compassionate witness and guide to invite people back home to themselves as it is there that they will find the wisdom they need to welcome the harmony they are seeking. When working alone, I often felt like a piece of the puzzle was missing. As I talked with Lloyd about his work and perspective as a personal trainer and health coach, we realized that we each had experience with elements of health and wellness that when combined had magical effects on healing and transformation and we've been hitting the ground running ever since to develop products and programs that honor people's minds, bodies, AND souls for wholehearted personal growth and development.

Keri-Lloyd1I believe you must first love yourself and I mean all of yourself including your body, no matter what it looks like. Your thoughts in this area are powerful. I've at times had struggles around this in the past. Most people would say, what?
No way, Devin you? But, I think we all have at one time or another, so how can you enlighten others in this area with your program? I completely agree with you, Devin. In my experience, I've discovered that self acceptance and self-love is a human issue, one that is a struggle for us all. We can only give to others what we have cultivated for ourselves and when we abandon ourselves and try to maintain relationships with others, heaviness in our mind, body, soul, and life ensues. In our Go Deeper, Get Lighter programs we invite a deep exploration of how we have learned to disconnect from ourselves and our bodies and offer a variety of holistic tools and techniques to help facilitate the re-connection. We know that it is when we are connected to ourselves that we can make healthy and satisfying choices and connections with others and our programs hold space to support people in honoring what this will look like in their own lives.

What future plans do you have for your program? We are excited about many upcoming projects! We are currently working on a series of e-books that address how people can live in a body they love by honoring elements of their mind, body and soul including a recipe book that also includes a journal to track how the body responds to different foods. We will also be launching the next phase of our virtual coaching program in January so stay tuned for that as well. And as always, we are live on Blog Talk Radio on Tuesdays at 9pmEST for our Go Deeper, Get Lighter Radio Show!
