Devin: You have the most gorgeous red hair, any advice for taking care of redheads?

Alexis: Thank you for such a lovely compliment, it was not so great growing up with natural Red hair as a child. I was teased so much it was just not a common color to have let alone with the natural curls too. But of course I survived all that silliness. Thanks to Lucille Ball I think for making it Okay and popular. I was even lucky enough to have met her and get an autograph in Malibu years ago. She was awesome.

1. Swear to keep healthy hair do NOT wash your hair every day that is the worst thing you can do it strips all the natural oils away from your scalp and makes hair less thick, shiny more dry and less healthy!
2. Moroccan Oil is the bomb it is just awesome!
3. Lots of Vitamins, work outs & water and yes even sleep is Key to healthy Skin and Hair as well ! Those few things and a glass of wine every few days are my fountain of youth and should be yours too.
4. Try to use good quality natural shampoos & Conditioners always. Never settle.
5. Trims are a must must must!!
6. Gloss your hair every 3 weeks to maintain food for the hair shafts for shine and softness. Do not over process your hair and never ever use Bleach!!

Devin: What are some of your makeup tips?

Alexis: If you want some Key Makeup Tips girls it is a must to own your Own Alexis Vogel Celebrity Makeup Book - with large 8 x 11 sized color images of beautiful Models as I walk you through every secret and techniques I have either made up or learned over the years from doing my craft day in and day out.

One Tip I can give LOL is get the Book!! Ok one Tip: Never apply your foundation with out a sponge it will not set into the skin properly for staying power! Okay one more ;) LOL : Always apply bottom Mascara 1st before you do the top lashes of your eyes- you will never mess up with mascara dots if you try it this way!! These are not even the tip of the ice berg baby the Book is my blood sweat and many years and tears!

Devin: How do you stay so glamorous yourself? What are your personal secrets?

Alexis: I covered much of them in question 2) but number # 3 !! I live this way and always have!!!
But maybe a bit more wine or Champagne lol. Again thank you Devon....I do have to really keep on top of my game because I am always in the publics eye and I feel it is always best for every woman to always want to not only be your best, but walk around when out in public Camera ready - you just never know who you will run into trust me!

I ended up having a dinner un expectedly with our (at the time) President Bill Clinton & was I ever glad I was put together and Glam that day at work, it was random and last minute, as the dinner was about 6 PM and all I had to do was a quick touch up and in the Book I teach 4 styles of eyes that progress from a natural look, into a career look- right into my signature Kat eye to a Smokey eye- for a more dramatic look, all from a new Eye Tool I have invented you keep in your purse with the Brush it comes with and the shadow! You can go from Mild to Wild in seconds. That is the Key to success baby Barbie's!

Devin: Is there anyone you want to work with that you haven't yet?

Alexis: Well that is a fun question I get asked often and there are many fun answers to give but I will just chose one. Since we were speaking of President Bill Clinton, that nite we met and had dinner he asked me to do his makeup for His Book " My Life" Bill Clinton. Of course I said yes and was very star struck {something I never ever had experienced before not even with Jack Nicholson}, Mr. Clinton even had sent me a lovely card the next day it was delivered Fed Ex to my home thanking me for attending the Event and such.
But when the dates came to do his makeup, I was already booked on a big tour for 3 weeks and was out of the country with another Celebrity. Does that count because I really wanted to work with him on his book cover. Maybe the next one :)
