Vanna White has been America's sweetheart for quite a long time. See why this southern girl is just a natural born girl's girl, which is why we love her.
Devin: Vanna I've always admired you since the day we first met and the fact that you are an old fashion southern girl, I know you are a girl's girl. What advice can you give girls out there on beauty and fashion?
Vanna: On Beauty… get plenty of rest, eat healthy, exercise regularly and wear sunblock everyday (especially on your face and the back of your hands)! I know it sounds like a cliché but it is the best advice to staying young!
Devin: How do you keep that amazing figure of yours?
Vanna: I work out 6 days a week. Spinning is my number one exercise but I mix it up with running, yoga, Pilates, and lifting weights.
Devin: You have been America's sweetheart for so many years now. How does it feel to be such an American icon?
Vanna: I grew up in the small town of North Myrtle Beach, SC and although I've been on TV for 30 years and have become famous, I still feel like that little girl from the small town. Hard for me to think of myself as an icon. I just hope I've been a good role model for those that watch.
Devin: You wear such beautiful gowns on Wheel of Fortune, what's your own personal style and what do you go to the most in your closet?
Vanna: I am not glamorous at all at home! I live in jeans and sweats and pony tails with no make up.
Devin: How have you balanced such a long career with being a single mom?
Vanna: Fortunately we only tape about 4 days a month so that gives me a lot of free time to be a mom. I have tried to instill in my kids the same morals my parents raised me with.
Devin: I know you love to crochet and have your own line of yarns, tell us what kinds of things you crochet and where we can find your yarns?
Vanna: My favorite things to make are afghans and baby blankets because it makes such a great gift and also as I am making the blanket for that special person, I am constantly thinking about them. My yarn "Vanna's Choice" and others can be found in stores such as Michael's, Walmart, and Joann's Fabrics.
Devin: How would you most like to be remembered?
Vanna: As a down-to-earth normal girl.
Devin: You are such a generous woman and give the proceeds of your yarns to St. Jude. Is there a personal reason why you've chosen St. Jude to give back to?
Vanna: It was hard to make a choice as to who to donate half my proceeds to. I chose St. Jude Children's Research Hospital because I saw with my own eyes how they help sick children and how they never turn anyone away. They are also very big in finding cures for diseases.
