    I would like to share with you here on these pages women who are making a difference in the area of health. We as women have alot more going on with our bodies in general and the good nutrition and exercise go hand in hand. 

    Women today are healthier than ever because of their increased knowledge about diet and health. I would like to help more women live longer, healthier lives as a result of women who are sharing their knowledge and secrets. Are you Peri Menopausal?

images-1If you are over 40 and having symptoms such as feeling tired suddenly in the middle of day, not sleeping throughout the night, or gaining weight in places that you never did before, you could be peri menopausal. I've been fairly blessed with good health most of my life and thank God few trips to the hospital. So after I entered my 40s I noticed some changes in my body and my health that I just didn't understand. I felt that I was taking pretty good care of myself, I mean I was exercising a few days a week, drinking as much water as I possibly could and eating healthy, so why didn't I feel so great? Why did it seem like I was gaining weight? And why wasn't I sleeping well? I just couldn't understand what was happening at first to my body.

I had always been super skinny and was always trying to gain weight, now it seemed impossible to lose a few pounds no matter how hard I tried! I felt tired all the time, irritable and could never sleep more than three or four hours! My periods were getting heavier and more painful and I had no sex drive! What the hell is happening to me!!?? It didn't help that I was also planning a wedding at the time, so the thought of a honeymoon was becoming more and more of an issue. I was afraid I couldn't get through the wedding or wouldn't fit 

images-2into the dress because of this ongoing issue that just wasn't getting better. Then a girlfriend saw me and immediately told me I needed bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. I couldn't believe she knew so instantly what I needed! But, she knew me for years and said she could see the symptoms because she'd gone through it herself. After some research, I was turned on to a terrific doctor and had my blood levels checked. Sure enough, I was peri menopausal and my percentage of estrogen, progesterone, testosterone and thyroid levels were almost non-existent. She prescribed a few pills to increase those levels and monitored me closely with blood tests every few months until my levels were back to where they were in my 30s. I also immediately felt better and over time got my body and health symptoms back on track. So if you are experiencing these symptoms go get your blood levels checked and see if bio-identical hormone replacement therapy is right for you!

    I'm certainly going to bookmark this page. This isn't something I would normally be interested in but you just can't disregard the fact that it's really great web content. If only others would put this sort of effort into their content.
