Judge reverses dismissal of loose croupier Holland Casino

Holland Casino should not have fired a croupier for telling others about a customer's gambling behavior. The subdistrict court in Amsterdam overturned the dismissal on Monday.

The 44-year-old man was summarily fired in January this year following a complaint from a visitor to the casino. About that man were stories circulating at work about his gambling behavior and he said that they came from the casino 777 Gems Respin employee.

The croupier, an acquaintance of the customer, immediately admitted, according to the court ruling, that he was indeed the source of the stories. He had told his brother about the amounts the customer put on the table at the casino; that brother, in turn, is a colleague of the man.

The judge did find it bad that the croupier had spoken out of turn, but noted that this was a one-time event. It is also taken into consideration that he immediately acknowledged his mistake and also that he had already been working for the casino for almost twenty years at that time.

According to the ruling, Holland Casino could have opted for a less severe sanction than dismissal, reported https://tamildada.info/new-pc-and-console-games-for-2022/. The casino must let the man work again and pay him back his salary since January.
